IP KVM Switch

KVM over IP is similar in form and function of a traditional KVM Switch in that it allows multiple computers to be connected to the rackmount KVM switch and be controlled by a single user’s keyboard, video and mouse (KVM). The difference is the rack mount Remote Access Server has added IP functionality, which means you can access any of the connected servers via 128 bit secure browser from anywhere in the world over IP (SSL v3, RSA, AES, HTTP, HTTPs, CSR). This translates into cost efficient remote server management.

The rackmount KVM over IP switch is available in 8-port and 16-port sizes and is rack mountable in 1U of rack space and supports high resolution up to 1920 x 1440 locally and 1600 x 1200 via IP. Accessories include 3-in-1 KVM cables, Cascade cables and PS/2 to SUN / USB adapter cables. SmartVM’s IP KVM is designed for multiplatform support and is compatible with SUN, IBM, HP, Dell, Solaris, and Mac, and Windows Vista/2003/XP/2000, Netware, UNIX and Linux operating systems. Rackmount IP KVM Switch is cascadable for up to 128 servers, and has optional 12, 24 and 48 volt DC power. An optional rack mount Remote Access Server is the two-console unit, which allows for a secondary remote user to be connected via an included Cat5 USB KVM Extender at a distance up to 300m in addition to the local user.
